Q & A

Why do you love what you do?

I love helping people with their financial lives because it provides the tangible resources for all of our client’s sometimes intangible dreams and goals. Some client relationships have lasted for over 30 years, and some family relationships are working into the second or third generation. It’s so rewarding when plans that we made decades ago come to fruition. It’s also been a thrill building a firm around the goal of making the highest quality financial advice transparent, and as free from conflicts of interest as is possible.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Besides helping people with their finances, Michael's passions and hobbies include backpacking, playing sports, leading international travel groups, nature education, motorcycle riding, studying great literature and writing. His favorite weekend escape is backpacking in the Cascades.
